I got these headbands for my 8 yo daughter who wanted a little more flair for her outfits. She wore them for about 2 hours before she began to complain that they were uncomfortable and digging into the spot behind her ear. I've worn them as well, and I've forgotten that I've had them on until later in the day! So I think it depends on the person whether they are comfortable or not, lol. There isn't any kind of padding to the ends of the hairbands, so the metal bit can feel like it's digging in after a while, but if you're used to headbands like these, then it's not really that big of a deal.
